Muuto Nerd Used Bar Stool, Oak
The Nerd series is one of Muuto’s signature all wood designs, drawn by the German designer David Geckeler and picked as the winner of the Muuto Talent Award. Muuto put it into production shortly afterward and it has stayed in the range ever since. The design is instantly recognizable for one detail: the backrest is a folded panel that sits down onto the seat rather than rising out of it, so the join reads as a deliberate step instead of a hidden joint.
This pre-owned Nerd Bar Stool is finished in oak throughout, with a pressed oak veneer seat and backrest carried on four legs turned from solid oak. The legs are cross braced with wood stretchers that double as the footrest, so there is no metal anywhere on the stool. Muuto designates this model H75, a 75 centimeter seat height that measures 29.5 inches and puts it firmly at bar height for counters and high tables in that range.
The seat is pressed into a shallow saddle rather than left flat, which is what makes an all wood stool comfortable enough to actually sit on for a while, and the front edge is rounded so it does not cut into the back of the legs. The folded backrest gives the lower spine something to rest against without adding visual bulk. Finished in a clear water based lacquer, the oak keeps its natural color and grain, and the whole stool is built from wood and veneer with no upholstery to wear.

Very good condition: We purchased this stool as part of a liquidation, and it arrived at our warehouse new in the manufacturer’s box. We are selling it as used. It is inspected by our quality control team and cleaned as needed before it ships. Expect a clean, sound stool with a damage free frame and, at most, very slight handling marks.
