FireKing Used Legal 4 Drawer Vertical File Cabinet, Off White

This is a pre-owned FireKing four drawer vertical fire file finished in off white, built to hold legal size documents front to back. FireKing has specialized in fire rated records storage since 1951, and the vertical file is the workhorse of that line: a fully insulated steel body that stores paper like an ordinary cabinet but protects it like a safe. Law offices, accounting firms, medical practices, and municipal records rooms buy these for deeds, contracts, patient files, and anything that would be expensive or impossible to reconstruct.

This unit measures 20.75 inches wide by 31.5 inches deep and stands 52.75 inches tall. All four drawers are individually insulated, ride on full extension suspension, and are fitted with rails for hanging folders. It carries an oval Teskey style lock at the top with the key present in the photos, and the chrome exterior mounted pulls with integrated label holders are intact on every drawer. The off white powder coat is clean and even across the case and drawer fronts.

UL Class 350 One Hour Fire Rating: The insulated body is built to hold the interior below 350 degrees Fahrenheit for a full hour in a fire, the threshold at which paper begins to char.
UL Impact Rating: Rated to survive the drop test that simulates a cabinet falling through a burned out floor, so the contents stay sealed even if the building collapses.
Insulation Between All Drawers: Each drawer is separately insulated rather than sharing one open cavity, so an open drawer does not compromise the ones below it.
Oven Dried Gypsum Insulation: The fire barrier is a mineral gypsum core that releases moisture as steam under heat, absorbing energy before it reaches the paper.
Legal Size Filing, Front to Back: Drawers are sized for legal folders filed front to back, the highest capacity orientation for a vertical file.
Four Full Depth Drawers: 31.5 inches of filing depth per drawer across four tiers gives this cabinet a large capacity in a small floor footprint.

This warranty is given to the initial purchaser and is valid for a period of (10) ten years to the original purchaser from the purchase date. The warranty, which runs from the date of purchase covers defects in materials and craftsmanship found during standard commercial use of the products during the warranty period. As used in this Warranty, “defect” means imperfections in components which substantially impair the utility of the product.

Standard commercial use is defined as the proper usage by individual(s) who work an (8) eight hour, single shift work day. If a product is defective and if written notice of the defect is given to NOL within the Applicable Warranty Period, NOL at its option will either repair or replace the defective product with comparable component or product. When repairing or replacing a defective product, NOL does not guarantee matching color, grain, texture or dye lots. This warranty does not cover the cost of freight, transportation, installation or labor. NOL makes no warranty that any its products are suitable for any particular purpose and makes no other warranties, expressed or implied, other than those set forth here. In no event shall NOL be liable in either tort or contract for any loss or direct, special, incidental, consequential or exemplary damages. This warranty does not cover damage caused by transportation, labor, field service or delivery charge.

NOL does not guarantee the matching of colors, grain or texture. A product will not be considered defective, and NOL will not be obligated to replace it, if it is not installed in a proper manner (i.e., product not leveled, not secured properly, etc…). Except as noted above, NOL makes no express or implied warranties as to any product, and in particular makes no warranty of fitness for any particular use. At NOL option, product repair and/or replacement are the customer’s exclusive remedy for any and all product defects. NOL shall not be liable for consequential, economic or incidental damages arising from any product defect.

NOL may request that you replace defective parts with refurbished user-installable parts that NOL provides in fulfillment of its warranty obligation. A replacement product or part, including a user-installable part that has been installed in accordance with instructions provided by NOL, assumes the remaining warranty of the original product or THIRTY (30) DAYS from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides longer coverage for you. When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item becomes NOL’s property. Parts provided by NOL in fulfillment of its warranty obligation must be used in products for which warranty service is claimed. Any defective hardware piece must be received back into warehouse before ANY replacement or refund will be issued.

This Warranty is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of parts and/or components of the casegood and applies only under conditions of normal use. Accessories are not included such as but not limited to lights, tack boards, glass, fabric, grommets. Storage and desk furnishings are not to be used for standing upon, work surfaces should not be sat on, nor should they be used as standing support.

Except as provided herein, NOL makes no other express or implied warranties, including without limitation any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. NOL is limited in its duty and shall have no liability or responsibility to the purchaser or any other person or entity with respect to any liability, loss or damage caused directly or indirectly by use of the product, including, but not limited to, any incidental or consequential damages. The warranty service we provide will only extend to our continental U.S customers (Continental U.S. does not include Puerto Rico, Guam, Alaska, or Hawaii). If you have forwarded the merchandise outside the Continental U.S. the warranty will be void. NOL uses 7-10 business day shipping with FedEx, UPS Ground or semi-truck freight.
