Steelcase Think Used Coconut Mesh Back Stool, Ocean Blue PU Leather Seat
The stool version of the Steelcase Think carries the same ergonomics that made the chair a standard in corporate offices, then lifts them to standing work height. Steelcase built Think around a back that reads the sitter’s weight and posture and responds on its own, and the stool keeps that mechanism intact while adding a cylinder with far more travel and a foot ring to carry the legs. It suits standing height benches, lab and maker spaces, reception and check in counters, training rooms, studio desks and the raised end of a sit stand workstation.
This pre-owned Think stool is built with a Coconut mesh back over a black frame, a black five star caster base and a black foot ring. The seat has been newly reupholstered in ocean blue PU leather, a saturated blue with a smooth, wipeable surface that stands out against the pale neutral knit of the back. The arms are four dimensional, adjusting for height, width, depth and pad pivot, so they can be set close for keyboard work at a high bench or dropped away entirely.
The Think back is a translucent 3D knit stretched over a slim polymer spine carrying a row of independent flexors, which lets the back conform across separate zones as the sitter moves. Seat height, seat depth and recline tension are controlled from the seat edge, and the foot ring gives the sitter a place to shift weight during long stretches at standing height. Steelcase designed Think to disassemble with common hand tools in roughly five minutes, and the model is Cradle to Cradle certified at approximately 98 percent recyclable by weight.
