Screenflex builds portable room dividers around a hinged accordion frame, and the point of the design is that one person can move and set up twenty feet of partition without help or tools. The unit rolls in folded, opens along its hinges, and holds itself upright with no wall track, no ceiling track and no hardware to install. It is standard equipment in churches, schools, conference centers, banquet rooms, medical clinics and corporate training spaces.
This pre-owned Screenflex divider spans 246 inches, just over twenty feet, when fully extended, and stands 87.25 inches high. Each middle panel measures 22 inches deep, and the panels are wrapped in a gray acoustical fabric over a black steel frame. Integrated handles measure 27 inches across, and the end panels roll on locking casters so the whole assembly moves as one piece and then stays put once it is positioned.
Because the divider carries its own wheels, moving twenty feet of partition is a push rather than a project. Grab the handle, roll it where it is needed, lock the casters and the run stays where you put it. When the room goes back to its everyday use, the panels fold back along their hinges into a narrow footprint that parks against a wall or fits in a closet, so the divider is not taking up floor space between events.
At just over seven feet tall this is a full height divider, screening well above standing eye level so the two sides of the room read as two rooms. The fabric surfaces are tackable, so signage, artwork and session materials pin directly to the panels, and the fabric absorbs a measurable amount of sound between the two sides.
