Modular Used Banquet Style Bench Seating, Orange and Gray
Banquet style bench seating solves a problem that individual chairs cannot: it puts the maximum number of people into a run of floor space without the room reading as a row of chairs. Restaurants worked this out long before offices did, and corporate cafes, break rooms and touchdown areas have been borrowing the format ever since. A bench seats three or four people across, tucks tight against a wall or back to back down the middle of a room, and leaves no legs or arms to navigate around.
This is a three piece modular set, sold together. Each piece has a dark gray vinyl seat platform and an orange and gray hexagon patterned fabric back cushion, capped with a vinyl top rail and standing on brushed metal feet. Because the pieces are separate units rather than one fixed run, they can be arranged as a straight bank along a wall, split into a cluster with a corner return, or pulled apart and used individually. Each piece measures 29.25 inches deep by 66 inches wide by 31.75 inches high.
The material split is a deliberate and practical one. The seat is vinyl, which is the surface that takes the abuse in a cafe setting and wipes clean in seconds when someone sets a coffee down badly. The back cushion is fabric, where it stays cleaner and where the woven hexagon pattern actually does some visual work for the room. The seat platform is a fully upholstered box with no exposed frame at the front edge, so there is nothing to catch a shoe against, and the raised metal feet lift the whole piece clear of the floor so a mop or vacuum passes underneath.
