Martin Brattrud Used Bench, Orange Red Pattern

Martin Brattrud has been building upholstered contract furniture in Gardena, California since 1948, working largely to order for architects and designers on corporate, hospitality and institutional projects. The company’s work tends to be frame up custom: a steel or hardwood frame, a specified textile and a finish chosen for the room, which is why Martin Brattrud pieces so often turn out to be one of a handful ever made in that exact combination. It also means the textile and the metalwork on a Martin Brattrud piece were specified for a particular project rather than pulled from a stock program.

This pre-owned Martin Brattrud bench has a two pad upholstered top in a red and orange geometric jacquard, carried on polished chrome flat bar legs. The fabric is a woven pattern of interlocking rounded rectangles in tonal reds with short gold dashes scattered across the field, so the surface picks up light differently depending on where you stand. The seat is divided into two equal pads across the length, and the chrome legs are formed from flat stock bent into an open sled at each end, which lifts the bench visually off the floor. Overall it measures 24 inches deep by 52 inches wide by 16 inches tall.

At 52 inches wide and 16 inches tall, this bench does two jobs well. It seats two comfortably in a reception area or a corridor, and at 16 inches it sits low enough to work as a bench in front of a coffee table or at the foot of a lounge grouping. The backless form means it can be placed against a wall or free in the middle of a floor and still read as intentional, and the chrome and red combination gives a neutral space a genuine focal point. NOL, as defined below, warrants the above branded pre-owned chairs from nolstore.com on component parts including cylinder, mechanism, base, and caster under normal use for a period of (5) five years from the date of retail purchase by the original purchaser ("Warranty Period").

All warranties are limited to the original purchaser for normal commercial usage defined as a standard forty hours week by persons weighing 250 lbs or less unless otherwise noted in the product description (i.e. Leap Plus or Aeron size C). This warranty does not cover labor, freight or damages caused by neglect, abuse, misuse, alternations or damage caused during shipment or by fire, flood or other natural disaster.

If a hardware defect arises and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period, at its option, NOL will either (1) repair the hardware defect at no charge, using new or refurbished parts, or (2) exchange the product with a pre-owned product that has been manufactured from serviceable used parts and is at least functionally equivalent to the original product, or (3) refund the purchase price of the product if claim is made up to THIRTY (30) DAYS from original date of purchase.

NOL may request that you replace defective parts with refurbished user-installable parts that NOL provides in fulfillment of its warranty obligation. A replacement product or part, including a user-installable part that has been installed in accordance with instructions provided by NOL, assumes the remaining warranty of the original product or SIXTY (60) DAYS from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides longer coverage for you. When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item becomes NOL’s property. Parts provided by NOL in fulfillment of its warranty obligation must be used in products for which warranty service is claimed. Any defective hardware piece must be received back into warehouse before ANY replacement or refund will be issued.

This Warranty is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of parts and/or components and applies only under conditions of normal use. Chairs are not to be used for standing upon, arms should not be sat on or used as standing support, nor must the weight loading capacity be exceeded. Any damage to castors or gas lifts due to abuse or misuse will invalidate the warranty. Arm pads are warrantied for 90 days from the original received date.

This Limited Warranty does not cover: 1) fabric or mesh; 2) defects caused by improper assembly or dis-assembly; 3) defects occurring after purchase due to product modification, intentional damage, accident, misuse, abuse, negligence or exposure to the elements; 4) cosmetic damage, 5) labor or assembly costs, 6) damage caused by a carrier or transportation of the product from one location to another, and 7) daily usage in excess of a single work shift.

Except as provided herein, NOL makes no other express or implied warranties, including without limitation any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. NOL is limited in its duty and shall have no liability or responsibility to the purchaser or any other person or entity with respect to any liability, loss or damage caused directly or indirectly by use of the product, including, but not limited to, any incidental or consequential damages. The warranty service we provide will only extend to our continental U.S customers (Continental U.S. does not include Puerto Rico, Guam, Alaska, or Hawaii). If you have forwarded the merchandise outside the Continental U.S. the warranty will be void. NOL uses 7-10 business day shipping with FedEx, UPS Ground or semi-truck freight. Delivery across continental U.S. only. (Continental U.S. does not include Puerto Rico, Guam, Alaska, or Hawaii.)
