This new table pairs a frosted white tempered glass top with a Truffle laminate base. Truffle is a deep, warm brown woodgrain with visible grain movement, and the two panel legs are trimmed in brushed silver along their vertical edges, which is the detail that keeps the base from reading as a plain box. The glass sits above the laminate top on a set of small standoffs, so it floats slightly and catches light along the edges. The top measures 59 inches on its long axis and tapers from 39.75 inches wide at the flat end out to 47.25 inches at its widest point, standing 30 inches tall.
Half boat is the shape’s real advantage. A full boat table curves on both ends and has to sit free in the middle of a room. A half boat keeps one end flat, which means the table can be pushed against a wall, staged under a monitor, or butted up to a credenza and still look intentional. The curve on the other end pulls the seats at that end into better sightlines with each other, which is the whole reason boat-shaped conference tables exist. At five feet, this one seats five. The flat end is built to sit against a wall, which gives up the seat that end would otherwise hold, so the seating runs around the three open sides.
