Krug Used Conference Chair, Black Pattern
Krug is a Canadian contract furniture manufacturer that has been building office seating and casegoods in Kitchener, Ontario since 1880, which makes it one of the oldest furniture companies still operating in North America. Krug’s reputation rests on woodworking and on conference and executive seating built to outlast the rooms it is installed in. This mid back conference chair is a good example of the company’s approach: a clean upholstered shell, a swivel caster base and the handful of adjustments a meeting room actually uses.
This pre-owned Krug conference chair is upholstered in a black patterned fabric with a fine woven dash motif that reads as solid black from across a table and shows its texture up close. The back is a tall, gently waisted shell that narrows at the waist and flares slightly at the shoulders, and it is carried on a black five star base with casters. Fixed black loop arms bridge from the seat to the back on each side. A lever under the seat handles pneumatic height, and a separate control sets recline tension. Overall the chair stands 34 to 39 inches tall.
A conference chair has a different job than a task chair. It needs to roll, swivel, set to the table height and lean back a comfortable amount, and it needs to look consistent around a table of eight or twelve. This Krug does all of that with the caster base, the height lever and the tension control, and the woven pattern gives the black upholstery depth and visual interest around a table.
