Pixel is Knoll’s flip top table system, built for rooms that have to become something else between one meeting and the next. The whole design turns on a single idea: release the top, let it fold up vertical on its hinge, and the table’s floor footprint collapses to the width of its base so it can be rolled away and parked against a wall. Knoll made the trapezoid version for layouts that need to turn a corner. Because the sides are angled, these tops come together into curved runs, wedge shaped clusters, hexagons and horseshoe arrangements.
This pre-owned Pixel carries a white laminate top with a squared edge on a trapezoid plan, supported on two dark gray T shaped metal legs. The legs are a two stage metal column joined by a collar, and each foot sits on casters so the table rolls without lifting. Two of the casters lock, which holds the table steady once it is positioned. The flip mechanism sits under the top on a metal spine and releases with a lever at the center.
The compact trapezoid is the piece that makes tight configurations work. It closes a curve in a shorter radius, fills the end of a run, and works on its own as a small collaboration surface in a breakout corner. Rooms that book back to back all day are where a table like this earns its keep, since one person can release, fold and roll it away without tools or help.
