Keilhauer Juxta Used Low Back Chair with Tablet, Teal
Juxta is Keilhauer’s collaborative seating collection, designed by the Austrian studio EOOS. Keilhauer built the line around a simple observation about how people actually work together: meetings move, people turn to face whoever is talking, and a chair that pins someone in one direction gets in the way. The Juxta answers that with a rounded tub shell on a swivel base, so the sitter can pivot toward a screen, a whiteboard or a colleague without standing up. You see the line in reception areas, breakout rooms, training spaces, libraries and open collaboration zones.
This pre-owned Juxta is the low back model with arms on a five star polished aluminum base with casters, upholstered in a teal fabric. The shell is a continuous curve that wraps from the seat up and around into integrated arms, and a separate round seat cushion sits inside it. The swivel tablet arm is finished in black laminate and rotates on a chrome support post, so it can be swung across the lap for writing or a laptop and then pushed clear when it is not needed.
The low back height keeps sightlines open across a room, which is why this version shows up so often in team spaces where people need to see past each other. Keilhauer manufactures the Juxta in Toronto and the collection carries GREENGUARD certification for low chemical emissions, along with a level 2 certification under the BIFMA e3 furniture sustainability standard. The seat pan carries a gentle forward angle and the backrest is pitched well back rather than upright, which puts you in a lounge posture rather than a task posture.
