Keilhauer Juxta Used Low Back Chair with Tablet, Dark Gray
Juxta is Keilhauer’s collaborative seating collection, designed by the Austrian studio EOOS. Keilhauer built the line around the way meetings actually behave: people turn to face whoever is talking, groups reform mid conversation, and a chair that holds someone in one direction becomes an obstacle. The Juxta solves it with a rounded tub shell on a swivel base, letting the sitter pivot toward a screen, a whiteboard or a colleague without standing. The collection is widely specified for reception areas, breakout rooms, training spaces, libraries and open collaboration zones.
This pre-owned Juxta is the low back model with arms on a five star polished aluminum base with casters, upholstered in a dark gray fabric. The shell is a single continuous curve running from the seat up and around into integrated arms, with a separate round cushion set into the seat. A swivel tablet arm finished in black laminate rides on a chrome support post, rotating across the lap for writing or a laptop and pushing clear when it is not wanted.
The dark gray is the version that disappears into an existing palette, which is why it turns up in mixed furniture environments where a bright accent would fight with what is already in the room. The low backrest supports the lumbar and mid back without cutting off sightlines across a group. Keilhauer manufactures the Juxta in Toronto, and the collection carries GREENGUARD certification for low chemical emissions along with a level 2 certification under the BIFMA e3 furniture sustainability standard. The seat pan carries a gentle forward angle and the back is pitched well back rather than upright.
