Description
iDesk Used Mesh Back Conference Chair, Black
iDesk is the seating line from Cherryman Industries, a California based office furniture manufacturer that has supplied desks, casegoods and chairs to the North American contract market since 1996. The iDesk program is built around clean aluminum framed seating, and the full mesh conference chair is one of its most recognizable pieces. Its appeal is the single continuous suspension panel that forms both the back and the seat, a detail that gives the chair its distinctive uninterrupted profile.
This pre-owned iDesk conference chair is finished in black elastomeric mesh on a silver aluminum frame. The mesh is a fine horizontal rib weave stretched in one uninterrupted sweep from the top of the back, through the waterfall front edge of the seat, with no break or seam where the two meet. The frame is polished aluminum formed into integrated loop arms that curve from the seat frame up and forward, and the chair rides on a matching silver five star base with casters. Controls under the seat handle pneumatic height, tilt tension and a recline lock.
A one piece suspension shell flexes as a whole, so when the sitter shifts, the entire surface moves with them. It also breathes across its full area, which matters in a room where people sit for an hour at a stretch. The silver and black palette is about as neutral as contract seating gets, and the slim profile keeps a conference table looking uncluttered. Pre-owned, this is a well made aluminum framed conference chair ready to furnish a boardroom table.
