It seats six comfortably, eight when it has to, and it fits in the rooms most offices actually have rather than the boardroom in the architectural rendering. Hon has been making office furniture in Muscatine, Iowa since 1944, and its meeting tables are specified in bulk for the same reason its filing is: they are built to a commercial standard, they arrive square, and they are still square a decade later. This one is a straightforward rectangular table with nothing fussy about it, which is exactly what a working meeting room needs.
This pre-owned table measures 35.5 inches deep by 71.75 inches wide by 29 inches high. The top is a single piece of light gray laminate with a darker gray edge band running the long sides, so the perimeter is protected where chairs and bags hit it most. A one piece top matters more than it sounds: there is no seam down the middle to collect crumbs, catch a pen, or telegraph the join under a laptop. The table stands on silver square post legs with a perimeter apron tying them together, and levelers underneath handle floors that are out of true.
At 35.5 inches deep the top is wide enough for two people to work opposite each other with laptops, papers, and a shared document in the middle without anyone crowding the center line. Standard 29 inch seated height means the table takes any conference or task chair already in the building.
