This pre-owned unit has a 21 inch round white laminate top on tapered black steel legs with glides. White is the only laminate finish Herman Miller offered on the Swoop table, so it is the original specification rather than a refinish. The detail worth pointing out is the edge: the plywood core is left exposed as a three-quarter inch band around the rim, so you see the actual layers of the substrate instead of a plastic edge strip. It is a small, honest piece of design that reads as intentional up close.
At 25.5 inches tall it works as a work table height beside lounge seating, which is a genuinely useful in-between: taller than a coffee table, so a laptop or a notebook sits at a comfortable angle, but low enough not to loom over a soft seat.
