It is a full six-foot desk on a motorized dual-stage base, and it moves through its whole range under load without complaint. This pre-owned unit has a light oak laminate top with a pale, fine woodgrain and a squared edge, carried on a gray dual-stage base with C-shaped legs and wide, flat feet. Two details are worth calling out. A black mesh wire management basket runs the length of the underside, so power bricks and cable slack ride with the desk instead of dragging on the floor as it moves. And the controller is a simple two-button up and down handset mounted under the front edge, with no menus, no display, and nothing to program. The desk adjusts from 25.5 inches up to 51.25 inches tall.
That range is unusually generous, and the dual-stage columns are the reason. Splitting each leg into two telescoping segments buys extra travel in both directions, so the desk drops low enough for a shorter seated user and still climbs past 50 inches for a tall person standing.
