This pre owned desk is finished in Asian Night from end to end, a dark charcoal woodgrain laminate with a fine linear texture carried across the tops and the case work alike. A full modesty panel closes the front of the main desk for a clean, formal appearance, and a fixed box box file pedestal with metal bar pulls sits beneath it. A separate mobile file file pedestal rolls on casters, so it can tuck under the return, park beside the chair, or move out of the way entirely. The return rides on two stage metal legs with a digital LCD controller under the front edge, travelling from 27 inches seated to 45 inches standing. This desk is handed with the return on the right.
Building the sit stand function into the return rather than the main desk is the smarter layout. The front surface stays at a fixed executive height for meetings and paperwork, while the return becomes the working surface that rises and falls with the user across the day. Grommets are cut into both tops for power and data, the pedestal file drawers lock, and the case work is thermofused laminate over an engineered wood core with 3mm edge banding, the commercial specification that keeps edges from chipping and surfaces from swelling.
