Global, now operating as Global Furniture Group, has been building contract furniture out of Toronto since 1966 and is one of the largest manufacturers in North America. Their conference tables land in boardrooms, training rooms, and mid size meeting spaces because they solve the problem every conference table has to solve: getting power and data to the middle of a table that six to eight people are sitting around. This Global 7 ft conference table does it with a flip up module set into the top.
This pre owned table measures 84 inches long by 48 inches deep and stands at a standard 30 inch seated height, comfortably seating six with room to stretch to eight. The top is a single piece of white taupe textured laminate, a light warm neutral with a fine linear grain that reads clean under conference room lighting without showing every fingerprint. It sits on a two piece slab base in matching laminate, so the table reads as one material from every seat, and the underside carries a black steel structural beam that runs the length of the table with an integrated cable trough.
The powered grommet is the feature that makes this table worth buying used rather than new. The lid flips open flush with the surface and reveals a full connectivity module: multiple grounded AC outlets on both banks, a set of data jacks, and an AV input plate with HDMI, VGA and audio connections. Everything terminates in a single cord that drops through the base to a wall outlet, which means no daisy chained power strips running across the floor and no adapters passed around the table mid meeting.
