Davis Furniture built its name in High Point, North Carolina by bringing European contract design into American offices, and the Q5 program is one of the clearest examples of that catalog. Q5 is a family of fully upholstered geometric forms, and this round collaboration table is the surface that anchors a Q5 grouping in a lounge, a reception area, an open collaboration zone or a hospitality style waiting room.
This pre-owned Q5 table has a round natural wood top over a conical upholstered base finished in a saturated orange woven fabric. The base flares from a narrow top edge out to a broad floor footprint, and the wood top overhangs it slightly all the way around, leaving a clean reveal where the two materials meet. A single vertical seam runs down the upholstery, which is the only visible construction detail on the whole piece.
The color is the point of a table like this.
